Kept Sun Lion necklace small 45 cm bronze
The sun lion was Kalevala Jewelry's 60th anniversary jewelry. The jewelry model has been a round relic box attached to a chain device of a silver cross pendant, the valuable contents of which are guarded by a lion depicted on the lid of the box, whose bushy mane spreads like the golden rays of the sun. The cross pendant is part of an early medieval silver treasure, which was found in 1887 in Joensuu, Halikon, during the spring plowing, hidden in the bosom of the earth.
Aurinkoleijona jewelry went on sale on Kalevala day 1997. There was a large and a small version of the bronze and silver necklaces: this jewelry is a small version, where the diameter of the round lion plate is 25mm. The wrong side of the tile is smooth and slightly concave. Necklace length 45 cm, parrot clasp.
