The jewelry model has been a round relic box attached to a chain device of a silver cross pendant, the valuable contents of which are guarded by a lion depicted on the lid of the box, whose bushy mane spreads like the golden rays of the sun. The cross pendant is part of an early medieval silver treasure, which was found in 1887 in Joensuu, Halikon, during the spring plowing, hidden in the bosom of the earth.
