The sun lion was Kalevala Jewelry's 60th anniversary jewelry. The jewelry model has been a round relic box attached to a chain device of a silver cross pendant, the valuable contents of which are guarded by a lion depicted on the lid of the box, whose bushy mane spreads like the golden rays of the sun. The cross pendant is part of an early medieval silver treasure, which was found in 1887 in Joensuu, Halikon, during the spring plowing, hidden in the bosom of the earth.
The hook behind the crossbar of the tie holder is threaded through the buttonhole of the shirt and the tie through the crossbar and the chain so that the chain with the pendant remains on top of the tie and the crossbar is hidden under the tie.
